The Strypes are four piece rhythm and blues/rock band hailing from Cavan, Ireland. They have an incredibly mature and tight sound — a real talking point, given that the entire band are all currently aged just 16 to 18 years old. The band formed in 2011 and have spent the last 18 months touring the UK and Europe, gaining exposure on the festival circuit.
Now the Strypes are coming to North America, with four shows this January in Toronto, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The New York show has sold out.
The Toronto show is at Lee’s Palace, with tickets on sale for $15 each plus service charges. It’s a 19+ show, as is the norm in Toronto, but unusual given that The Strypes are not yet 19.
Thanks to Live Nation Ontario, we have one pair of tickets to give away for The Strypes show in Toronto at Lee’s Palace on January 20.
