Canadian ska-reggae rock trio Bedouin Soundclash have released a video for “Mountain Top” from their forthcoming fourth Light The Horizon. Light The Horizon releases Tuesday, 28 September from Pirates Blend records.

Here’s the video:

Interestingly, this is the video that I took part in as an extra, which was a long but fun day – read about that in my last Editorial Pissings. It’s a decent song (even when heard 15 times in a row) but the video didn’t turn out too good: or at least, I was expecting something a lot different, given the fact all the extras were suited & booted to look like mods and rockers straight out of the 50’s and 60’s.  The video doesn’t capture any of the retro, Camden Market-esque vibe I thought the director was aiming for.  (And what’s up with the spazzy camera work? A bit too
Saving Private Ryan beach scene.) I suspect most of the extras are going to be disappointed when they see this, especially all the girls who got done up in retro gear. A bit of a letdown for them. Personally I was just there out of curiousity so I’m not too bothered: and I already made my music video debut elsewhere, thanks to Chiwawa… – Brian
