Hands & Teeth to play free Homegrown Sound session outdoor show in Toronto this Friday, July 25

Toronto’s Hands & Teeth will play a free outdoor acoustic set this Friday at Christie Pits park in Toronto.

The performance is presented by Homegrown Sound, a new project launched in June promoting nature through music with a documentary video series and outdoor shows. Homegrown Sound is produced in partnership with the David Suzuki Foundation. It’s bringing music to the David Suzuki Homegrown National Park events, starting off with

Homegrown Park Rangers will be on hand at Christie Pits cooking up pizza and corn on the cob from 5pm, with Hands & Teeth playing at 7pm. Join the Homegrown Pizza night event on Facebook. Check out the event poster below, by Toronto show sketcher Natascha Malta.

Hands & Teeth released their latest EP, the “utterly charming” Before The Light, in March 2014. They have upcoming shows at The Dakota Tavern on July 31st, and at the Silver Dollar Room on August 8th.
