Red Hot Chili Peppers launch new album with global cinema event – *update* RHCP listening party in Toronto, Monday 22 August

Hold onto your seats and grab your popcorn! The biggest album launch of the year is coming “Around The World” at the end of this month: the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform their new album I’m With You live via satellite to cinema screens around the globe.

RHCP’s new line-up of Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer will perform I’m With You in it’s entirety for the “first and only” time during this special concert. The event happens one day after the newly rescheduled album launch date of Monday 29 August.

Red Hot Chili Peppers LIVE: I’m With You concert will be captured live in high-definition from Cologne, Germany on Tuesday, 30 August and will be presented the same day in movie theatres across the globe. The concert will be shown at 75 locations in Canada, at over 150 locations across the UK as well as hundreds of locations in the US and around the rest of the world.

UPDATE, 21/08/11: On Monday 22 August there will be a global listening party event for the new album I’m With You. The album will be streamed for 24 hours at RedHotChiliPeppers.com. On Monday there will also be six special listening parties in cities across the world, including Toronto. Note: The band will not be there in person – this is an album listening party. The Toronto event will be at Lee’s Palace between 6-10pm, giving fans the chance to hear the album in-person and talk about it together. The event will be recorded and streamed online.

When: Monday, August 22, 2011 from 6 PM EST to 10 PM EST
Where: Lee’s Palace (529 Bloor Street West). Lee’s Palace was the first place the band ever played in Toronto
