Unfest, the independent music and arts festival, returns for a second year to The Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells, over the weekend of 27th – 29th May.
This is the follow up to last year’s successful inaugural event, which attracted thousands of music fans to the area. Once again over 100 unsigned acts from all over the region, along with established local musicians, will descend on The Pantiles, to entertain and play for their supper.
This year, to run alongside the music, there will also be photographic exhibitions, street entertainment and an extensive craft/zine fair.
Drawing on the talents of many more local artists and creative companies, the programming for Unfest takes place across several venues, kicking off at its spiritual home, The Forum, on Friday night.
The festival then expands to include performance spaces at the Ragged Trousers, The Duke of York and The Sussex Arms for the rest of the weekend.
“Along with the Electric Lantern Festival and Local & Live, Unfest is another indication of the relevance of Tunbridge Wells an a centre for community music and arts,” says Forum owner Jason Dormon.
