Launched in 1973, Virgin are marking their 40th anniversary with a free exhibition in London.
“Virgin Records: 40 Years of Distruptions. The Exhibitions.” is set to open its doors on October 24 at the Victoria House and will run until October 29.
The exhibition features rare photographs from the last 40 years, in addition art installations made exclusively by Virgin artists including Massive Attack and The Chemical Brothers as well as the Virgin Records original Oxford Street shop in Central London.
In tandem with the exhibition, the label has also announced shows that spread across the English capital. The dates are as follows:
October 21 – Public Image Limited at Shepherds Bush Empire
October 24 – Jake Bugg at Brixton Academy
November 4 – Emeli Sande, Professor Green and Naughty Boy at Koko
November 5 – Bastille and Josh Record at Koko
November 7 – Simple Minds at Koko
November 10 – Boy George at Koko
November 11 – Martyn Ware presents Heaven 17 + guests at Koko
November 12 – Jazzie B presents Soul II Soul (full live set) at Koko
