YOUNG INSPIRATIONS – SHINE YOUR TALENT MUSIC EVENT

Background

Jessica Paiva, the creator of Young Inspirations (YI), has always had a passion for the arts and knew that there weren’t any platforms where undiscovered individuals could have their works seen and heard. Once she was assigned a project for her Magazine and the Web class at Ryerson University to create a blog – she instantly knew what it would contain. With Young Inspirations, talented artists now have a place to showcase their talents and also be able to network and collaborate with others.

“It started being just an assignment I had to do for school – a place to promote budding musicians, artists, and writers. However, more and more people are interested in having a place where they can be heard. This was my goal. To be known and respected.” – Jessica Paiva

Just recently Young Inspirations has focused on the music scene and new and unknown musicians. There are many talented musicians worldwide – the only problem is that most artists don’t know where or how to start their career. Young Inspirations is the place.

After Jessica’s semester at Ryerson completed, she decided to continue the platform while hiring a business partner, Paula Henriques, to help with the evolution. Young Inspirations had their first event in January of 2012. They gathered young musicians to perform for an audience and through this they have gained supporters. The Young Inspirations team has worked with solo musicians to help complete their first EP/CDs. While recently gathering four YI musicians to record a special music video cover which can be found here.

With an endless evolution Jessica and her Young Inspirations team hope to work with many more budding musicians worldwide and bring them into the YI family.

Shine Your Talent Event

We are here to present our second annual Shine Your Talent showcase with a unique competitive edge.

This year, our second event promises to be a huge success. We will showcase sixteen of Toronto’s best young artists where they will compete for the chance to win the top three prizes. Similar to the famous Idol TV series, all of the performers will be critiqued and given feedback from three high-profiled judges.

The audience will also have a chance to win great prizes! With our raffle, audience members will have a chance to win a number of gift cards from top restaurants in the GTA including The Keg and enjoy a meal and show at Medieval Times.

The event will take place at Hugh’s Room on July 21st – come out and enjoy some great live music, food and drinks!

Sparkle from Zack Werner’s Idol School will be headlining the show and Phil Dacosta – of Dacosta magic will be doing table magic during dinner!
