Radio Wunderbar #017 – broadcast 15 May 2011
Shazaam! This show featured a couple of plays for one of my favourite new bands from the UK, The Murder Act, whose CD Traum arrived in the Music Vice mailbag back in April. The Murder Act have an expansive post-punk sound that can shift gears and mood within a single song, often reaching a hardcore-like intensity. It’s incredible that nobody knows about this band yet, bar their mothers and me! I like them a lot.

Other highlights in a typically eclectic and internatiThe Murder Act - Traumonal playlist include first plays for Lovely Killbots and Low Level Flight, both from Toronto, and a regular dabble into Quebec indie with four tracks picked by our French music guru Natascha Malta. Episode 17 is one of my favourite playlists of RW so far. Enjoy! – Brian
