Osheaga is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year! With 117 headliners of a variety of genres, it promises to be a wicked mid-summer festival for all different types of people. Let’s hope the sun shines bright all the way through!
Osheaga is held on the beautiful, waterfront, dual-island park in Montreal, Quebec – Parc Jean-Drapeau. Looking over the St.Lawrence river, that waterfront breeze makes this an awesome summer festival venue.
Enjoy three days filled with over 30 acts daily, in the heart of Montreal’s beautiful waterfront venue on the islands downtown. Coming up on its tenth year of the annual music and arts festival, Osheaga is ready for another great year. Although this isn’t a camping friendly festival, you can find a list of rated accommodation suggestions on the Osheaga website.
Big acts that we’ve been seeing on most of the festival line ups like Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar and Alvvays will be headlining the festival and there are some that are especially alluring, like The Black Keys, or Of Monsters and Men.
Patrick Carney recently returned to the live scene, playing his first show since injuring his shoulder in January, at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona and will be headlining on the third day with the Black Keys, along with Tyler, The Creator – who also played the Primavera Sound Festival.
On top of playing the Toronto Urban Roots Festival, you can catch the growing Icelandic sensation, Of Mice and Men, at Osheaga. The band is touring the continent, promoting their upcoming LP, Beneath the Skin. Having just released their latest song off of the LP, “Hunger”, with an official lyric video. This will be the band’s second LP and is set to be released on June 9th via Republic Records.
Those, among many other great bands will take the stage in Montreal’s core.
