Carly Rae Jepsen - KissTitle: Kiss
Artist: Carly Rae Jepsen
Record Label: Universal Music
Release Date: 18 September 2012
In One Word: Uplifting

Carly Rae Jepsen releases her new album Kiss. If you couldn’t get enough of her singles “Call Me Maybe” and “Good Time” ft. Owl City, then you’re in for an uplifting treat.

Placing third on Canadian Idol in 2007, BC born singer Jepsen has sure come a long way. From having success in Canada the past years, Jepsen made her way from aspiring singer to becoming a global pop star this year. It all started with the click of a button when she was tweeted by fellow Canadian Justin Bieber.

This album will put you in a good mood and make you want to dance, especially with songs “This Kiss,” “Tonight I’m getting Over You” and “Drive.”

Some great songs the bubbly singer also includes are “Heart is a Muscle,” “Beautiful” ft. Justin Bieber, and “Almost Said It,” that show a more heartfelt side and allow her to show off her vocal abilities.

Topping the charts at number one with “Call Me Maybe,” I’m sure we can say that Jepsen will not be just another one-hit wonder.

It has been a while since a female artist has come out with a pure pop album, could she be the next Jessica Simpson?
