Album review: The Murder Act – Traum EP

March 20, 2012

The Murder Act - TraumTitle: Traum
Artist: The Murder Act
Label: Independent release
Released: 2011
In one word: Life-preserver

A musical buoy
Stepping into the brink

For a safe place
Where I might sink
Rise up
And float

And I find it
A musical buoy
A lead weight
A diving aid and life preserver
Rolled into one
Hold tight

Its guiding my senses
Stirring my spirit
Enveloping my mind
Bringing me down
Lifting me up
I hear UFO sounds
And a straining narrator
He leads me astray
And I just smile

I drift along in the subway car
Nodding my head
My mind rides with the music
I bet the girl sitting across from me would love this band
And she does.

The sound of The Murder Act.
