Ireland’s Villagers have released a new live session recording of their new single “Nothing Arrived”. Check out the new video for “Nothing Arrived” below – (so hot, that at time of me posting this, it is still unlisted on Youtube with just 74 views!)
“Nothing Arrived” is taken from Villagers forthcoming second album Awayland which is set for release in the UK and Ireland on 14 January 2013. The album will is out in North America on Domino on 9 April.
Villagers first album Becoming a Jackal was nominated for the 2010 Mercury Prize. Villagers frontman Conor J O’Brien won the 2011 Ivor Novello prize for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.
The band have recently finished a tour of Europe supporting Grizzly Bear and will tour Awayland in the new year with headlining dates in Japan, the UK, Europe and Ireland. North American dates are in the works for the spring to coincide with the Stateside launch of the new album.
