Toronto band The Box Tiger debut their new video “Set Fire To Your Friends” today. In the video, the band play a spot of croquet, with the band’s lead singer Sonia Sturino having particularly killer form… literally… as she snuffs out her band mates.

“It’s loosely based off the 1988 film Heathers, the Winona Ryder flick,” said The Box Tiger’s Sonia Sturino. “Pretty much a simple game of croquet turns into a deadly rampage!”

I like the creepiness and told Sonia she should make the next one darker, perhaps B movie style. “That’s the goal actually. We’re thinking of having the next one being inspired by the show Twin Peaks.”

But does Sturino really want to killer her band mates?

“Haha, no, not really. Well, maybe sometimes.”
